    a. What male stereotypes can you identify within your immediate community ? Explain why you believe these are stereotypes. (less than 200 words)
Poverty is the man stereotype of men. Nowadays, the society is more based on wealth. If a man does not have some money, the level of respect decreases. In addition, many women misunderstand gender equality. Men and women should complete each other for a better society. The men support the majority of the expenses of the families. Men may have problems at work, are responsible for food, education, gifts, holidays, feasts, and many other duties. They are stressed and can fall into deep depressions. If the women do not understand that men are doing their best, they can regret it. A woman should be a great help for a man for a happy society. She can also work and help her family.

    b. What measures do you believe can be instituted in order to ensure that these stereotypes can be broken down ? (less than 400 words)
Everything starts with the education. Men and women should be educated to collaborate. They should learn to help each other. They are complementary. Schools should focus more on teamwork than competition. The parents should educate more their children to be good persons. Money should not be the goal of life. Love should be the goal of life. People should be taught about respect and moral values for a better society. Listening center can be the solution to help the people who are affected to find their ways and believe in life. People should learn to see the beauty of life. People should focus on what is positive.

    c. How do you think we can change the points of view of older generations in order to see the harm that male stereotypes are having on the younger generations’ mental health ?(Less than 400 words)
We can listen adults when they need so much help. The governments should permit that people interact more. Our society is based more on individualism and people mainly live alone. People earn their livings in searching some money. The little time they have is to eat and sleep. It is difficult to live happily in such difficult situations. The governance system should permit people to interact in participating in events and getting advice. People should be trained to interact with each other. A human being is first social.
Food plays an important role in fighting against mental diseases. The quality of food is important for health. Social media, TVs, and journals should learn people how to take care of themselves. A woman should be a partner or a friend and not someone to use. Everyone should respect the dignity of the other person.

    a. Do you believe that toxic masculinity is still evident within today’s society ? Please substantiate your answer. (less than 300 words)
Toxic masculinity is still existing. In the families, women are still suffering from that. With covid-19, the situation of women is more dangerous due to gender-based violence and divorces. Physically, the majority of men are stronger than women. They use it to dominate women. Men should know the importance of women. They play an important role in the society. A man is not complete without a family. A woman is not complete without a family. They should be united to make a good family.
There are NGOs, associations, and organizations which promote the rights of women and girls. They make substantial progress but a lot of things should be done. Women are still mistreated and that should change for better.

    b. Can toxic masculinity be unlearnt ? Please elaborate on your answer (less than 200 words)
Biologically, we are the same. But what makes the difference is the culture. The culture is the environment in which we have lived in. If a person is bred in a safe environment where there is respect, he will learn to respect people. But if it is not the case, the person will learn toxic masculinity. The person will learn gender-based violence. A good education is the key to make toxic masculinity unlearnt.
It is also important for people to learn from their mistakes and change positively their minds.

    c. How, as a kectil Colleague, would you go about shifting the narrative from toxic to healthy masculinity ? (less than 300 words)
Toxic masculinity depends of the environment of the people. People should live happier. I think that if the society does not teach people against toxic masculinity, they should realize the government policies should redirect them to change their bad habits. For example advertising in the streets can be a good solution. If men see the punishment of the law, something will change in the society for better. The social media can be a tool to make the fight powerful. Essay competitions about the topic can be interesting in the fight against toxic masculinity. All the people, men and women should be put at the center of everything to bring positive change in the society. The minorities and the majorities should be included in the functioning of the society. Everyone should know what the other person does not like and do what is possible to respect the engagements. Everybody should know the dignity of the other person and do one’s best to keep friendship, humility, and dignity.

    d. What do you believe the benefits of integrating a sense of healthy masculinity into a community are ? (less than 200 words)
Integrating a sense of healthy masculinity into a community is a good thing in the society. In that case, everyone is important and useful. There is not gender-based violence and toxic relationships between people. Love guides everyone and people accept each other with respect and honour. In this type of society, someone does not need to undervalue another person to be great. Everyone sees the beauty and the importance of the neighbourhood. People realize that they live in a fantastic society. And what is the most important is that people know that they build this society for themselves and for the future generations.
Healthy masculinity is respecting each other and supporting women when they need men. Both men and women need a society where they feel they are respected and useful.

What is difficult to live is lockdown. With lockdown, people’s mental health are affected and they can do bad things. Lockdown has shown people that the way of entertainment should be changed. In the most of the cases, people spend a lot of time in the bars and night clubs. Because of lockdown, they are shut. Healthy masculinity decreases during lockdown. With the pandemic, people work more online. They are more in contact with the screens. But the most important is what comes from the screens. Are the majority of the images horror images? Do they sensitize how to reduce stress during pandemics? Do they care about mental health? Do they sensitize about healthy masculinity? Do they sensitize people about what is forbidden by the law?
The content of the screens play an interesting role in reducing gender-based violence during pandemics.
The policies are able to sensitize people for healthy masculinity. Lockdown is an opportunity to be more united.
